This is the descriptive post title.
And this is the short text that attempts to say something witty and leads up to the video stolen from some blog.

BumpTop

From Cult of Mac: This company has come up with a different, 3d approach to your Mac's desktop. I keep stuff in folders off the desktop, so I don't know if I would really use this, but people who like to keep lots of things on the desktop might find it useful.

Starry, Sleepless Night
I am up and awake and killing time until I feel sleepy again. A co-worker of Ken's posted this site on Facebook. The summer sky panorama is so beautiful. I did not know it was possible to see so many stars. I feel cheated.

I spent a lot of time spinning around looking up at the sky. Amazing!

Crayola, Crayola, Crayola

Here is a nifty visualization of the Crayola color spectrum of the past 100 years. Apparently the number of standard crayon colors double every 28 years.

Nerds of Tomorrow- Today!
URLesque.com posted a series of highschool student-produced rap videos about AP classes. Ranging from Calculus and Chemistry to European History and Microeconomics, these are some adorably HILARIOUS videos that show cleverness and creativity.
They remind me of my own exhausting-but-fun AP experiences. I also love how the teachers really seem to be involved and supportive of the kids (AP Calc teacher using a classroom clock like Flava-Flav? YES.)
This guy is ADORABLE.

May the Fail be with you.
This video is yet another reason why we hate the French. Try to stick around long enough to catch the cantina dance at 1:50. But don't blame me if your eyeballs start bleeding.

The Saddest Video Ever
Go get yourself some tissues now. Really. Saddest ever. This is Big Bird singing "Bein' Green" at Jim Henson's funeral.
If you're up for even more sad Muppets you should check out Topless Robot's list of The 7 Most Depressing Songs Ever Sung By A Muppet.

Ceci N'est Pas Une Spinning Wheel of Death
A British artist bought a painting from a flea market and, using a hobby motor and acrylic paints, turned it into a crashing Mac app!
Here's his blog, with a little more info, as well as build photos!

A Year in 90 Seconds
This guy named Eirik Solheim in Norway took a picture from his balcony every day for a year and stitched it all together to form one video depicting the changing seasons. He has other versions of this video and explanations of how he did it at his personal blog.
